The Taliban has asserted that they have eliminated an individual affiliated with IS-K and apprehended eight children and three women in Parwan.

As per Bakhtar news agency, a hideout belonging to Islamic State - Khorasan (IS-K) in Parwan province has been destroyed by the Taliban. During the operation, one individual was reportedly killed, while three women and eight children were taken into custody by the Taliban. However, Bakhtar did not reveal the identity of the deceased or clarify the relationship of the arrested women and children with the ISIS group. The operation was carried out in District 1 of Charikar city, the central area of Parwan province. A Taliban police representative stated that their forces were unharmed in this action. The Taliban has been announcing daily operations against IS-K members in Afghanistan, but the accuracy of these reports cannot be independently verified. Atta Mohammad Noor, the former governor of Balkh, recently questioned the authenticity of the Taliban's claims of attacking ISIS fighters, stating that the Taliban kill their political rivals under the guise of operations against ISIS.
